Case overview

What this project is about

Developed a centralized equipment maintenance system to streamline reporting and repair workflows within a manufacturing facility.

Built real-time alert logs and breakdown reports for technicians, including category filters for electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.

Challenge

Challenge

In factory settings, reporting damaged machinery or facilities (such as broken AC units or faulty lighting) traditionally relies on manual logs, paper forms, or delayed radio calls. This delays technician dispatch, leading to extended downtime and reduced operational efficiency.

Maintana solves this by offering a fast, web-based reporting system accessible from mobile and desktop, allowing factory workers to instantly submit breakdown details.

Solution

Solution

I designed and built the application using a Next.js framework, integrating a clean, high-visibility layout suitable for rugged factory monitors and mobile screens. Users can quickly select categories (HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical), report issues, and attach details.

Technicians receive real-time notifications on their dashboard, where they can mark tasks as 'in progress' or 'resolved' and track response times to monitor SLA performance.

Instant breakdown reports with category tags (AC, Lights).Technician dispatch dashboard with live status tracking.Interactive metrics tracking response and resolution times.

Impact

Impact

Moving to a digital reporting flow significantly reduces communication lag between operators and technicians.

Structured data collection makes it easier for plant managers to analyze which equipment breaks down most frequently and schedule preventative maintenance before critical failures occur.
